A woman riding an all-terrain vehicle on the La Jolla Indian Reservation north of Escondido was killed when the vehicle crashed just east of Valley Center Road early Monday morning, the Highway Patrol reported.The accident occurred just after 1 a.m. on North Calac Lane, just north of McCormick Lane on reservation land, about 10 miles north of Escondido.
The woman, who has not yet been identified, was not wearing a helmet, said CHP Officer Alicia Contreras. The ATV also struck a dog, which was also killed,Contreras said.
