Elkhart County ATV Crash Injures 2

WSBT – South Bend

Two people were injured in an all-terrain vehicle crash in Elkhart County south of Goshen, according to police.

The pair were riding on the ATV about 7:20 p.m. Sunday on private property along County Road 29 south of Goshen when the accident happened, Elkhart County authorities said.

The driver, Michael Miller, 33, of Middlebury, took a turn too quickly and hit a creek embankment, police said.

Both Miller and his passenger, 33-year-old Shantelle Ellis of New Paris, were thrown from the 2005 Honda ATV and taken to Goshen General Hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

No charges have been filed in the incident, but police continue the investigation and believe alcohol may have been a factor in the accident.
