Woman in intensive care after flipping ATV

A Naugatuck woman flipped an all terrain vehicle she was driving with two children passengers at a gravel roadway near her home at 150 Brook St. in Naugatuck Wednesday night. Dawn Penzerro, 39, was listed in stable condition in the intensive care unit at Waterbury Hospital Thursday, police said. A 9-year-old boy and a 5-year-old girl who were passengers on the vehicle were ejected from the ATV, and they suffered minor injuries and were treated and released at Waterbury Hospital on Wednesday night, police said.
