Duluth Police release name of man killed in ATV accident

Duluth police have released the name of a Proctor man fatally injured in an ATV accident Saturday in Duluth.Anthony Joseph Rich, 23, was traveling northwest on Water Street in the Fond du Lac neighborhood about 4:25 p.m. Saturday when he lost control of his ATV and it rolled. He was thrown from the ATV and severely injured. He was taken to St. Luke’s hospital, where he died Sunday.
Rich was alone on the ATV when the accident happened, and he was not wearing a helmet. According to police, alcohol and inattentive driving apparently contributed to the crash. The crash is under investigation by the Duluth Police Department Traffic Office.
